Off the needles

I am so proud of my new cardigan.
The yarn was a pleasure to knit and the colors are so warm.  It was the first time that I had to do steeking. I used two methods, first I crocheted a chain along the stitches where I wanted to cut, then  I  used the sewing machine to reinforce the stitches.
(A steek is a narrow section of stitches developed to provide a place to cut along to create openings in circularly knit garments)

There'll be no posts for about 10 days because I'll be in Holland.

I like the blog of Steph, she lives in the south-West of China.  When you visit her blog you should  click on the video with the title: 'Did I have a pain'. It's so full of humour .
On her blog she talks about her family, her life in China, her crafting......

Another blog that I want to show you is MrsMoen 's blog, she lives in Norway and I like her work.

The last blog is My pink turtle. Lulu lives in Canada, she loves gardening and painting. Her folk-art paintings are very colorful .

Knitting and sewing in Japanese

There are so many lovely Japanese knitting and sewing books. They are famous for their beautiful photos and simple (not always), but stylish patterns. You can use them without reading Japanese, because the illustrations are excellent. When I am in Paris I always go to the Japanese library JUNKU. They have shelves full of craft books. You could spend hours and hours there......
Many, many sewing books, lovely patterns for woman, children.

And bag patterns, last time I bought this book.

Knitting and crochet patterns.
These shawl is a crochet example.

On this site you can find more information about Japanese crafting.

Three new bags

Here are the new bags.

These days I've spent most of the day blog browsing. There are already 969 blogs participating in the OWOH magic carpet ride.
I 've learnt new words like ATC and Magic Media Art. Do you know what means 'priti' ? It's a Sanscrit word that means satisfaction from creating beauty and joy.
I became follower on several blogs. When this happening is over I'll  look around on those blogs.
