Sewing machine

I need to buy a new sewing machine. yesterday I was in town to test a Bernina They only had the 440 QE in stock. An expensive  one, but I was rather satisfied . Next week I'll be in Holland and then I'll try more sewing machines? Pfaff, Brother, Janome. If you could advice me......please do. It's such a difficult decision.

    In Gouda zit een gespecialiseerde zaak. Heb ik ooit ook een heel goede machine gekocht. Het is Ricken. Misschien tot snel ziens!

    I have an Elna, which I'm very happy with, however I know this would not be the one for you because you sew a lot more than I do and the top names are the Bernina and Janome, as you suggested. I use mine for embroidering and free motion stitching and really love it.

    Everyone here seems to love Bernina but I have a Pfaff that I wouldn't trade for anything. It is not the most expensive model but works for all my sewing needs. I really like the built-in walking foot, it will sew through lots of heavy layers, and will do all kinds of special stitches that I never use.

    My machine drives me crazy as I can never get the tension right. Its a Brother. When I was in art college many years ago all the machines were Bernina. And they were used A LOT!

    Ik zweer echt bij een Pfaff, vind dat zo'n fijne machine. Succes met de beslissing.
