More Japanese fabric......

I think you already noticed that I love japanese fabric . I made another logcabin quilt with the scraps I bought in Paris at Kaetsu. Each time when i visit Paris, I visit the boutique and there always are small scraps. The indigo blue is fabric that I bought on Etsy.
I only need to do the binding.

A present

It is very quiet over here, i don't have the blog-mojo at the moment. But there are lots of things i did not show you so I will try to blog once a week this summer with lots of pictures.....

Do you remember that I met her  in Paris some weeks ago? She had a present for me.
It's made with vintage indigo kimono and futon fabric. She made lots of quilts with this kind of fabric.
Last week Quiltmania was at her house to make lots of photos for the magazine in september or oktober.

It's a small pouch that you can  put in your suitcase with your earrings or something like that...

You can also use it as a wrap for a small present , like the Japanese do....... and like she did.

Inside was this beautiful bracelet pincushion!
Thank you my friend.

I was in Paris for a one-day visit

I visited two exhibitions. my first visit was an exhibition of Outsider Art in the Halle St Pierre. Eighty artists from Europe, America, Africa, India and Japan have been brought together to illustrate the purest and most direct form of artistic creation, the most inventive forms of contemporary folk art.
I only could make these two pictures.

On the quai  near the Tour Eiffel there was a photo exhibion with amazing pictures....

People were asked to put put everything outside that was in their house

And of course I visited some fabricshops, of course. near the Hall St Pierre is my favorite mercerie .

Where ever you look you see fabric in this neighborhood. My favorite shops are Dreyfus and Reine.

What I bought in Paris

When I was in Paris I visited the Japanese shop Kaetsu with the very symphatic owner Keiko. In her shop it's all color where ever you look. I lost some photos that I made with my Ipad, these two were the only I could save.......

As you can see she had a lot of fabric for sale. I bought only scraps for a new applique quilt;

These scarps I bought in the IKAT store, I made some lovely pictures in this store, but i also lost them......

These came from Keatsu store, aren't they gorgeous?
I will be back tomorrow because then will start the pincushion bloghop!!
