Some finished projects

Tada....tada, zoals beloofd, hier is mijn mooie Drachenfels. Gebreid met vier kleuren Hostgarn Coast en pen 3,25.

 

 

 

 

Ik ben er zo blij mee, hij draagt heerlijk, het garen is zacht en het was een plezier om te breien, ik heb een tweede op de pen in blauwtinten, voor de meimarkt.

Nog een paar sjaals voor de markt....

 

De Blossomy is af en er zijn er nog twee in de maak...

Nog een TGV sjaal in Zauberball crazy in oranje tinten.

 

En tot slot nog een paar foto's over ons leven hier op het Franse platteland.

Het weer is goed, dus ideeal om vuurtje te stoken. Cedric van de pomologische vereniging is geweest om de fuitbomen te snoeien en dat hout moet verbrand worden om het verspreiden van ziektes te voorkomen.

 

Dit was niet alle hout hoor , verspreid over het terrein lagen nog een tiental flinke stapels !

A bit of this and a bit of that

Eindelijk weer een blogpost. Ik had een klein ongelukje, stootte mijn teen tegen een stoelpoot. Deed veel pijn maar ik dacht, gaat vanzelf wel over. Na tien dagen was het nog niet over, naar de dokter, foto laten maken en je snapt het al....... gebroken. Nu zit ik met twee tenen aan elkaar geplakt  en voel me een beetje gehandicapt. Het is prachtig weer en er is veel werk in de tuin.....maar ik zit te breien en te haken.
Ik heb ook nieuw garen ontdekt, zag het al steeds voorbij komen. Holstgarn Coast.
Een melange van katoen en wol , het voelt heel zacht aan en werkt heerlijk. Het garen doet aan linnen denken, het is mat en de kleuren hebben iets vintage; Ik ben er erg enthousiast over.
 Mijn eerste werkstuk is een sjaal naar een patroon van Cécile Balladino uit haar boek: Au fil des couleurs .

 

 

 

De kleur is op de eerste twee foto's het beste.

Ik heb er een Drachenfels  mee gebreid , in dezelfde kleuren als op  de link, moet nog geblokt worden en ben aan een tweede bezig, voor de meimarkt, in blauwtinten.
Een heerlijk patroon om te breien en dan met dit fijne garen.....

 

En nog een project met dit garen, de sjaal is inmiddels af en ik ben aan tweede bezig. Weer een makkelijk patroon met een mooi resultaat. Het is de Blossomy.

 

Ik ga ook weer borduren, heb het boek van Cecile Franconie gekocht : Jardin revé, jardin brodé.

Is ook een heerlijk, op de bank zit, werkje......

Als je het blog nog niet kent, is het de moeite waard om er even rond te kijken. Ceécile houdt van kleur en dat is aan haar projekten goed te zien!

Tot slot nog een foto van een ongeduldige kip, tegen etenstijd komt ze in de vensterbak staan en tikt tegen het raam.

 

I love Zauberball

Toen ik het herfstvestje van Sandra zag , heb ik meteen Zauberball wol besteld. De kleur kiezen was niet eenvoudig maar gelukkig is er dan Ravelry .......
Ik weet niet hoe het jullie vergaat maar ik raadpleeg Ravelry zo vaak, om modifikaties van een patroon te vinden, om te zoeken naar een mooie kleur van een bepaald merk wol en niet te vergeten,om te snuffelen naar nieuwe patronen.
Sandra kocht voor mij het patroonboekje van Schoppel en stuurde het naar Frankrijk (lief van je Sandra).

 

Net als Sandra vond ik het vestje veel te kort en haakte ik een aantal rande half stokje eraan. 

Maar het venijn zat ook hier in de staart .......

Ik had geen vijf maar vier blokken breed voor de rug gehaakt . Stom natuurlijk want daardoor was er geen ruimte over voor de hals. 

 

De oplossing was snel gevonden, een aantal toeren halve vasten met een spietje aan de bovenkant.

In de voorpanden de twee bovenste vierkanten half omgenaaid zodat er een V-hals ontstond en voilà het past nu precies! 

 

Ik vind de Zauberball crazy overigens minder zacht dan de gewone Zauberball. 

Er zijn meer projekten met deze wol  op de pen......

I made myself a Sophie Digard scarf

The scarfs designed by Sophie digard are so elegant so precious, so many beautiful colors. On Pinterest you can find lots of pictures.  But they are expensive......  and for me they are a challenge.  why not try to make one myself?
i bought some colors of silk & wool cones in Felletin at the yarn festival and i ordered some more at Bart en Francis in Belgium.
And I started to experiment with form and color.
I made 368 small squares of 3 cm in three colors. I sewed them together and here is the scarf. it was very difficult to show the real colors, i think photo two is better than number one...

Proud with my handmade scarf. Weather changed here in France , it is cold and rainy.

I also made myself a new bag, very colorful..... SO be continued. 

May I present you........

May i present you the mice family. When I saw Finnegan on Sandra's blog i was in love and i wanted to make him.

But as usual when i make something i want to make more than one......

So i made a whole family, here they are.

As you can see father has put on his new scarf and is almost leaving for the pub.....

Mother asks him to stay.... why do you always go to the pub on saturday.....

But father is a very macho mouse, he wants to drink something with his mouse friends....

So even on saturday evening mother is alone at home...

The little one does not like his parents arguing again, he also feels alone....

They were, all three, sold at the Christmas market, seperately.

Maybe not too bad, there family life was not happy at all......

I knitted two lefties, a blue one and a purple one

And i made lots of more things, in all 150.

The market is tomorrow, wish me luck!!!!!!!

I was in Felletin

This year I went, like last year, to Felletin for La Journée de la laine (the day of the yarn).
in the morning I followed a workshop in crochet free form .
We made a brooch and arrived at home  immediately I made two more.
There was a lot of yarnbombing in the village, i especially loved the  idea of using  cardboard boxes to make  heads, so easy peasy and so cute.

I bought yarn to make this shawl, a pattern from Stephen West. The yarn is silk&wool from Bart & Francis.
