Some finished projects

Tada....tada, zoals beloofd, hier is mijn mooie Drachenfels. Gebreid met vier kleuren Hostgarn Coast en pen 3,25.

 

 

 

 

Ik ben er zo blij mee, hij draagt heerlijk, het garen is zacht en het was een plezier om te breien, ik heb een tweede op de pen in blauwtinten, voor de meimarkt.

Nog een paar sjaals voor de markt....

 

De Blossomy is af en er zijn er nog twee in de maak...

Nog een TGV sjaal in Zauberball crazy in oranje tinten.

 

En tot slot nog een paar foto's over ons leven hier op het Franse platteland.

Het weer is goed, dus ideeal om vuurtje te stoken. Cedric van de pomologische vereniging is geweest om de fuitbomen te snoeien en dat hout moet verbrand worden om het verspreiden van ziektes te voorkomen.

 

Dit was niet alle hout hoor , verspreid over het terrein lagen nog een tiental flinke stapels !

And another crazy Zauberball

Ik was een week in Nederland zonder internet, ben daarom achter met blogs lezen, maar dat komt goed!
Zoals beloofd weer een projekt gebreid met crazy Zauberball.
Het is de TGV sjaal, TGV staat in het Frans voor Train à Grande Vitesse, oftewel sneltrein. De ontwerpster heeft daarop als woordspeling Tricot (breien )à Grande Vitesse van gemaakt.
En inderdaad , de sjaal gaat als een trein, zeker als je continentaal breit. Om de woordspeling kompleet te maken, heb ik de sjaal gebreid in de trein van en naar Nederland........
De sjaal brei je met 1 bol, het is een kooppatroon, te vinden op Ravelry.
En de tweede staat al op de pen, in een andere kleur.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Als laatste een foto van mijn Kerstroos border,  het is al over het hoogtepunt heen, maar nog steeds prachtig.

Back from Felletin and my garden

I came home friday evening after my five-day workshop. It was very inspiring and i learned lots of new things.
Some photos are coming this week.
First i want to show you my garden in full bloom......

Wool on sunday, my retro sampler and some flowers

I knitted some more patterns on my retro sampler. Do you remember Wieke's pattern?
For this project i use yarned , dyed by me with plantes, i told you about the yarn here.

I did not knit a lot these days because the garden needs a lot of attention.
And i dyed fabric and scarves with indigo. This summer in my village we'll have a brocante (fleamarket) for the first time and i want to be there with a stall with some handmade things......
i will show you the indigo things soon!

The fruit trees were in full bloom last week, so beautiful.

Wool on Sunday and more

I am going to participate in Janine's Wool on Sunday, i don't know if i can post something about knitting, crocheting or dyeing wool every week but I will try.

On ByHaafner's blog i found the Fifties cowl, it is an easy and quick pattern  with a stylish look. I already made 5 ....   At the Eastermarket I already sold two cowls.
Here are the ones that I made last week.

I had a very good Eastermarket, I sold the two indigo/shibori totes and the five indigo /shibori scarfs.
So i am planning another dye session this week.......
On thursday i go to Paris for my usual one-day-visit. There is an exposition about indigo at the Forney library in the my favorite quarter, the Marais.
I saw beautiful pictures of the exposition on several blogs. I promise you to make lots of photo's too.

Last week I received the swap envelope , sent by Mirjam, the swap was organized bij Keetje van lien.

And at least a sign of spring, today the sun is shining like yesterday. But we had lots of grey, rainy and windy days .

  

Four dead swallows and some baby hedgehogs

Life in the countryside is not always as peaceful as you want...... We had a swallow nest in the barn.
Suddenly we realized that they did not make noise anymore.  When we looked inside the nest we found out that hey were all four dead, two of them did not have a head anymore........
 This could not be the cat, impossible.   We think maybe it was a rat or a marten.   The parents were already gone. This did not happened before......we hope they will come back next spring!
When i made this picture they were still alive.....

I showed you the large hedgehog that i saw near the house. Some days later we found at least three baby hedgehogs. In the beginning they only were active in the evening , Rosa our black labrador is very curious. 

These last days you can see them walking the whole day, did you know that they walk rather quick? 

Yesterday one came on the terrace while we were drinking our glass of wine.  He /she walked around the terrace and then went away.IT was wonderful !

And did not I craft these last weeks? Yes i did but i did not take pictures yet. We had visitors, lots of appointments and the gardenwork.........

More garden pictures

I am so busy working in my garden , there is not much time to craft. After the market I always am tired , then I got the flu and i was in Paris for one day to meet her.

I am re arranging  my garden, last year the garden has been abandoned a bit by me . So this year i cut a lot of plants and make more path.  I lay cardboard on the new path with black plastic  on it. For the moment it's quite ugly but after a year or so the the soil will be clean . It's quite a job that I started but I hope that this year i will have a well kept garden, with a lot of black plastic but clean.....

I still have my fathers flowers.....

Some garden pictures

We had our market last sunday , a friend made a lot of pictures but i do not succeed in having them on my laptop. There is something with the USB stick, maybe it is only because i am really a zero with computers.......
We had a mini tornado wednesday evening! Fortunately we had no serious damage, some things are gone by the wind, that's all . Our neighbour had a big, big branch of the walnut tree fallen down. In villages nearby there were roofs seriously damaged and trees fallen down. We were lucky!!

The other morning i saw this hedgehog in the middle of the courtyard, maybe he lost his shelter...
