Next sunday is our Easter market

THis year we will have an Easter market in stead of the yearly mother's day market.
For me it is too close to the market in december, i only have some new bags and scarfs.
And i made some decorations.....

Indigo dyeing and Shibori

This week I showed my friends Brigitte and Lucienne the Shibori technique. We did some pole wrapping, bind and clamp and some stitch and tied resist.
Especially the last technique is really time consuming, so we did this on tuesday afternoon and the dyeing two days later.
I forgot to take pictures of the process , i only have pictures of the results.

The magic of the fabric coming out of the vat in green and becoming blue by oxygen is so inspiring.

They were both so enthusiastic, we surely will dye more.......

I also made some samplers.

My retrosampler knitted with handdyed yarn

A short blogpost about my retro sampler.  And again I did not follow Wieke's patterns but i made mine......

I think the scarf will be too bulky for me . So i decided to cut the scarf, after completing, into two pieces . I did not make a steek and when I looked on the www i found  a perfect tutorial  on Kate Davies blog to reinforce the stitches  . As you can see in the second and last picture I already started to crochet one of the reinforcements .
