I am sewing three bags but I cannot finish them, I have to go to town, buying zippers.
So I had time to knit my cardigan. The yarn is a pleasant to knit and the colors are so warm and beautiful.
Still two patterns to go on the body.

Washing-day

When I was a child,  monday was washing-day. I remember my grandmother laying the blankets in the grass. It was called 'de bleek'.
On the picture you see me with her on this 'bleek'.

 I also have a large grass- field but I prefer to hang it out. Otherwise the chickens, the cat, the dog and the moles should make it dirty. (I don't remember moles when I was young???)

Monday iI washed the new fabric . I always wash it by hand, in the last water with a bit of vinegar, to stop bleeding the fabric.

On the needles

Years and years ago I bought this booklet with knitting patterns. It’s the ‘Ariadne breien’. Several times I looked at this pattern but I had not the courage to start. Now I think I’ll have enough experience to knit the pattern. I’ll modify it into a cardigan, that means that I have to steek ……….

I started already with the Island yarn that I had in my stash.
