I made a doll and her name is Isabelle

When I saw her new book with crocheted doll I immediately ordered  the book.
And here she is, my Isabelle....., in her party dress.

She does some gardening too......

And here she is in her new pyama,ready to go to bed.

Last sunday i visited again a brocante(fleemarket). I found there a small suitcase for Isabelle. I will make her a bed inside .

Pierre de Ronsard (1524 - 1585) was A French poet . The poem 'Mignonne allons voir si la rose' was an ode to a 15-year old girl Cassandra.

darling, let's go for a look at the beautiful purple rose ,

look it's already loosing her flowers

how nature is cruel, a beautiful rose like this last only one day

so, believe me darling enjoy, enjoy your youth

because like this rose, becoming older you also will loose your beauty.

In 1985 Meilland created the now famous climbing rose 'Pierre de Ronsard'.

My first French teacher, 12 years ago, thought that learning French included also learning famous French poems. I learned by heart some fabels of Jean de la Fontaine and this  more than famous poem of Pierre de Ronsard. I think nearly every French know the first strofe of this poem by heart.

What I saw at the fleemarket

This weekend family from Holland was here and we went to a French brocante/ fleemarket. Weather was perfect, sunny and warm and there were a lot of things to buy. I only bought some NEW plastic containers from Tupperware for 1 and 2 euro!

This week summer arrived here in the center of France.  I did not visit blogs, did not make blogpost, I was Outside , working in the garden, drinking coffee outside, crocheting outside. This sunny weather is so good for our body and soul, we really needed it!

I am already working for the Christmas market, not that I am in hurry (lol) but when I saw this free pattern, I thought that it might be a cute in-between project.

I am a bit absent from my blog these days. I don't know where my blogging mojo has gone.If you feel like me, maybe a visit to this site will help you to find it back....

Maybe it's the bad weather here in France, it's raining and raining and chilly and so on. Yesterday i was in Paris, only for a one day visit. Th sun was shining in Paris,  I drank my coffee and my glass of wine on a terrace outside ! It was so good to sit there outside,  enjoying the sun and the Paris atmosphere!

No blogging mojo but YES I was in the mood for sewing. I had a very successful motherday's market, I even sold some bags..... I wanted to do something with the flying geese pattern, so I made this shopper.
