Macaroon party

Macaroons are very popular in France. These small round cakes, crisp on the outside and smooth and soft in the middle are delicious.
This is the collection of Ladurée macaroons,  Ladurée is the famous macaroon shop in Paris.

With two friends we had a macaroon workshop given by Christine, she has a  lovely cooking blog and lives only 15 km from here.
Here are some pictures:

We made two varieties: chocolate and pistache and they were delicious!

  1. These look heavenly. I love interesting classes like that. The French love their pistachio don't they?

  2. Mmmmmm... you're making my mouth water! Looks like a fun and delicious class.

  3. I always look at the in awe in Waitrose, they look so de-lish! I bought some once and loved them! Yum!

Looks like fun, what a great class

  4. Oh my, I plan to make them for some time already. Yours look absolutely delicious.

  5. Oh boy do those look good! Making my mouth water here. When I was little my grandmother would always take me to the bakery and that's what I would pick - but they weren't flavored - just almond and coconut and very light and crispy. Today it's very hard to find them here unless you make them yourself. YUM!
