My life in France

Where I live, every sunday you could visit a lot of brocantes (flee market), concerts.
Last sunday I went to an open air mass. It was the 27th of july and that's Sainte Anne's day in France. They say that she was Jezus' grandmother.
The open-air mass was in front of the Sainte Anne church near by the castle of george Sand.

The folklore group with their old  musical instruments and the hunting music group were also present  to grace the mass.

If you want to hear their music, go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXXtyAmPUA8&feature=relmfu

  1. How lovely to attend an outdoor Mass. Your village is so picturesque. I am entranced by the colorful costumes of the folkmusic group. And am amazed that they can bear to wear all those layers in the heat of the summer. Maybe your summer is a lot cooler than ours. I'm heading over to listen to their music now.

  2. I love seeing your country and life here Baukje. I'm always delighted to see enthusiasts keeping their country's traditions alive. Its lovely to see the children with these folk groups - hopefully they will pass these traditions on to their children too. In Wales we have our Eisteddfodau to keep our culture alive.
