My grandmother's flowergarden

The whole Easter weekend I worked on my flowergarden. I made a lot of progress.

I hope to finish the quilt soon . But I have some questions. 

Should I make a border, if so a solid border and which color? And how to sew the border on the hexagons?

How about the binding?

And the quilting, of course I will do this by hand, but where should I quilt..... Only the hearts of the flowers? Only the gardenpathes?

Maybe you could advice me......

Backpack

I made a backpack for Sylviane's daughter -in-law.

Mistake

I am working on my Grandmothers Flowergarden. I started with a gardenpath around one flower and then continued. I already had 3 panels with 7 flowers. But this morning I saw that I made a mistake. Do you see the mistake?

The first picture is the right panel, I have two wrong panels so I need my seamripper....

Off the needles

I knitted another 'Annis' shawlette. I love sewing and quilting but I always need to have a project on my needles..... I think I'll make the same one in blue. Maybe for a Giveaway?

Gardening

I started to sow the pumpkinseeds for me and for  friend. We have about 20 different varieties.
The night before the seeds were soaked in a bit of water, to advance a quick germination.

 They are sowed now and stand in the veranda .

La Chocolatine

Again a pattern by Facilecécile. I bought the kit but was a bit disappointed by the fabric so I used mine from French General by Maison the Garance. Months ago i won this fabric by a giveaway.

Today in the mail came the green Kona solid fabric for my Grandmother's garden quilt, so I can start making hexagons!

DUTCH Tulips

These are pictures of huge fields of tulips and other bulbs from my native country , the Netherlands. She gave me permission to use them .
